The clothes we wear are like a material translation of our everyday feelings. They are a way of expressing ourselves without explaining ourselves.

wanderer(en, noun): a person who travels aimlessly.

wanderer(romanian translation): cãlãtor fãrã scop, pribeag, rãtãcitor.

Hi. I am Madalina Mihailovici. I’m a product designer, not a fashion designer. I work interior integrated concept design projects, furniture, graphic design, and sometimes I paint. I did this experiment with myself back in 2017: beacuse I could not find clothes suited to all my functional needs I took a year to see if I can learn by myself how to make my own clothes, suited to my needs. It was a trial and error, step by step learning by doing process, where I applied a lot of the principles from product design I learned in the Art & Design University of Cluj.

So I started to make clothes as objects, not as fashion items. They do not follow any fashion trend. I do not care what other designers do at the moment, for my purpose is to only look inside of myself. I make almost all of them alone in my small studio, when I am in my best mental state. A lot of my lovin’ goes there. Most of them are one item only. This endeavour turned into a brand in 2018 at the request of a lot of people who apparently had the same needs. I am still learning something new every day from working or from the needs of my clients, and hope to keep on improving my research about clothes, human beings, our relationship with ourselves and our environment.

The purpose of these clothes I make is to keep you warm in those areas where you are most sensitive to cold, to make you feel so comfortable like wearing nothing. They are created as an extension of the body, this is why I use this system of 3-5 layers from soft to thick. This allows you to own less items and to be more creative in how you combine them. Most of them are unisex, sharable, one size fits most, all seasons.
